Our Spring time White Elephant Sale made a big statement! What an energetic group, the Conquorers, club 1066 Toastmasters! We had a huge success even tho’ our numbers were small! We sold over $300 and with our own Earl K. Wood matching us on the dollar; the Student Scholarship Fund will be coming along nicely! We had such a great time with each donor describing each of their items in a Table Topics type style…very unique and enjoyable! Susan Culey was our Auctioneer and did pretty well in her auctioneer techniques, keeping track of the $ increments with the help of Alan Brents and other savvy mathematical master- minds! What she lacks in skill she makes up in spunk! She just loves her fellow Toastmaster club members! but don’t we all! So… congratulations Toastmasters for another stellar performance!
Star-gazers Party a Huge Success!
By · CommentsOur second annual Star-gazers Party Saturday night hosted by Susan Culey and Sheldon Kagel was the “bright spot” of the weekend!!! The stars really came out that night! Our own dignitaries were there to shine…. Nancy and Scott Hoehn, Karl Righter, Tim Ricke, Alan Brents and our current, returning President Jerome Kalish really added extra pizazz to our spectacular evening! Sheldon’s telescope was truly amazing, showing us so clearly Saturn with it’s rings and other constelations as well! The Mohito’s flowed as the nights’ festivities included dancing and howling to the “Age of Aquarious” by the Fifth Dimension! A good time was had by all for sure! We’re sorry you missed it…but hey…..there’s always next year!
